Stay Local for Summer Vacations

Our area has a rich heritage and this site highlights some of the wonderful opportunities for tourism and recreation in Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga and Schenectady counties. Filled with history, architectural treasures, geological wonders and natural beauty, this area offers many interesting attractions for both tourists and residents.

I'd like to share with you some of these special places, and I encourage you to discover -- or rediscover -- many of the resources in our own backyard. Along the way, be sure to stop in and support our many fine local restaurants, shops and other attractions!

From this page, you can access a booklet and brochure on historic sites and recreational areas. These are in pdf format. Or you can click on the request link or call my office for printed copies.

These guides offer only a sampling of the many attractions in the District. Please be sure to call ahead for hours and directions,
as some places have limited hours or are by appointment only.

For additional information about these or other sites, or about the many festivals and special events scheduled for this summer, you may wish to contact the local chambers of commerce. Their phone numbers and web links are included at the bottom of this page.

Cordially,

Hugh T. Farley
Senator
